Being born and raised in Dayton, Ohio and loving basketball, there was no way that I was not going to hear the name Dwight "The Blur" Anderson. For as long as I can remember there was a mystic, superhero type of vibe to this guy even though I never met him before. All I heard was "Dwight Anderson was better than Micheal Jordan" or "He was the best player in the world". That intrigued me to want to see him play and learn more about him at a young age.

As I dug deeper into my research I realized what a superstar or superhero he really was!

He was a freak of nature, so fast and athletic that he was literally "unguardable" ( I hope that's a word). Those who were lucky enough to have seen him play, I am forever envious of. The guy averaged 38 points at Roth High School, in Dayton, OH. Think about that for a second... yes... back in the 70's...he was absolutely ahead of his time.

What struck me the most was his nickname "The Blur". I know how and why he earned that nickname but, the irony in it to me is beautifully obvious. He was and still is the "The Blur" and so was his basketball career, and moment of stardom. Due to Drug addiction this amazing basketball star's life took a turn for the worse and he never got the chance for the the world to see "The Blur" in action. Dwight Anderson died on September 5, 2020. May he Rest In Peace.

I made this project inspired by his journey, the rise and fall, the good and bad. I made this project because life is also a blur, take head to his story and live your truth, don't let life pass you by!
